In 1993, Dave Koz was invited to bring some holiday joy to the kids at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. He has since been a global ambassador for Starlight Children’s Foundation since 1993, finding new and creative ways to deliver happiness over the years.
Join the Legacy
2000s
Dave and his sister Roberta launched Koz Wines and Cookies for a Koz, donating the brands' proceeds to support Starlight programs. They became year-round advocates for the mission, supporting through galas, public events, and even along Dave's annual Christmas Tour.
Give in Honor of Dave
2010s
Building on decades of impact, the Dave Koz Cruise hosted the first at-sea auction benefitting Starlight and continued as an annual tradition. Funds raised from the cruise helped deliver custom jazz-themed Starlight Gowns, Gaming Stations, and Toy Deliveries to all 800+ hospital partners.
Set Sail with Dave

Dave and his assistant Janice De La Cruz received Starlight's Lifetime Achievement Award to celebrate more than $2 million raised to help hospitalized kids. The Dave Koz Cruise, Christmas Tour, and other fundraising efforts continue to fund the distribution of holiday toys to thousands of kids each year.
