Streaming for Smiles: S4S Unites for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
This September, the Stream For Starlight community came together to activate for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and it was nothing short of spectacular!
Charity streamers from all corners of Twitch united for a cause bigger than themselves, raising funds to help kids in the hospital feel better, emotionally and mentally.
From competitive challenges to heartfelt moments, the energy and motivation to make an impact was high throughout the month.
Communities showed up in full force, donating generously to help bring smiles to kids in need. Together, you raised over $122,509 for kids in over 700 medical facilities across the nation!
With that, streamers and their communities were able to place 7 Starlight Nintendo Switch Gaming Stations and 18 Handhelds at hospitals in Starlight’s network of 724 medical facilities.

Press Start
We started the month with our annual Press Start kick off! The loved pancake-stacking contest came back, we got to hear from one of our hospital partners and joined Starlight Kid Jade in a chaotic game of Minecraft with Starlight staff member Devan!

Mental Health Mondays
In September we hosted Mental Health Mondays, where we invited our S4S community to take day off, grab their favorite decompression activity, and join the Starlight Stream Ambassadors taking over the StarlightUS Twitch channel.
There was everything from live music, stretching and yoga, and talks with Starlight’s CEO, Adam Garone. Here’s one fun clip of Adam getting pied by his kids!
